Let Us Give Thanks- to gluttony, catchphrase, and kiwis
Prior to Thanksgiving day, the yoloers were a little skeptical if they would be able to pull off a true American holiday while in the land of the Kiwis. There was a lot that had to go right in order for Thanksgiving to be a success- the day started at 9am.

9 am Thanksgiving morning. Caitlin and Christine dive into the turkey innards. Apparently in NZ, there are no bagged organs, you physically have to pull and tear out all the parts. Yuuuummmmyyyy, isn't this what everyone wants to wake up to?
2pm Nick and Chris "borrow" chairs from the complex's BBQ area. The following morning our super came and possibly might have raised his voice at us for "borrowing" the chairs. No one went to jail, the chairs were returned, and we still have a home- so it was okay
2:30pm Decorations put up around the Yoloers mansion. Thankfully, X's dad was ahead of his game and had already sent over BEAUTIFUL thanksgiving decorations courtesy of Walmart circa 1985, so the tackiness of Thanksgiving would be accomplished.
3pm We pop open the bubbly. Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate and give thanks.

5pm: At first glance, it may seem like a cheap and trashy Thanksgiving, but let us tell you- this food was the shit. We had so many compliments, and almost no leftovers (of which was slightly disappointing come the next morning). Notice the color variation in our food selection.

5:02pm Family Photo! Oh PS There's a new addition- Chris, from Wales. We met him in Taupo and invited him down to Christchurch for Thanksgiving, but now he's living with us for a month, which is fine with us because he has a car. We may or may not be slightly using him.

5:30pm As you can see from the photo, we made friends, and this doesn't even include those who showed up for desserts and catchphrase later. Kiwis and Americans coming together, kind of like the traditional story- minus the Macy's parade.
5:45pm Maggie is wasted.
7pm Desserts, Drinks and Catchphrase- a perfect combo for a thanksgiving party.

8:30pm: Catchprase is a hit in NZ. Caitin is taking on the boys as catchphrase became mobile, and moved in the kitchen. Following Thanksgiving the most common question asked to the Yoloers was "Do you think we could buy that on Ebay!?"
8:30pm-11:59pm: Glutony, catchphrase, drinking, inebriation
Midnight: Xmas songs were turned on and thanksgiving turned into a karaoke version of Mariah Carey's Christmas Hits.
12-3am: Catchphrase, more eating, drinking, losing shoes, swimming, showering, sunrises.
Thanksgiving was awesome- we made all the Kiwis love it so much, they want to have their own. We are planning a Xmas party on Dec. 20th, lets hope it can live it up to the Turkey Day festivities- which it will, because lets face it, we rule. YOLO.

I am so glad that drunken catchphrase was a hit down under. And when you say that you may be using you new flatmate ...do you mean for sex, cause the man from whales is pretty hot.
