The ozone hole may be getting bigger.....but so are our bank accounts

We have just celebrated our one month anniversary in Christchurch, and it is officially feeling like home. We all started our jobs, and have impressed the Kiwis with our University graduate skills, and are on the path to total takeover of both Dux de Lux and the Flying Burrito Brothers.

Maggie's home away from home, working in the dungeon, aka the stairwell under the kitchen, and pumping out rolled cutlery. It is rumored she can do 200 rolls an hour.

Nick serving up pints of beer for meager tips, thanks NZ. But getting the much needed practice for the NZ bartender competition- we have high hopes.

X dishing out salads and seafood, and getting a calf workout, as she stands on her tiptoes to reach the counter and the customers, thanks Mom and Dad.
The Yoloers first workers comp case in the making, thanks to the flaming fajitas and Maggie's waitressing skills. Caitlin can kiss her dreams of a short sleeved wedding dress goodbye, but on the bright side, she now qualifies for membership into the kitchen staff burn club.

We've completed our acclamation to NZ life, we have the home, the job, and we also celebrated our first non U.S. holiday- Guy Fawke's Day! Guy Fawkes Day is an excuse to get drunk and set off fireworks in celebration of some dude attempting to blow up the British Parliament 400 years ago. Yes, NZ is this awesome. Due to our sparkling personalities, we have made friends at work, one of which decided to take us to the best fireworks viewing spot.

The spectactular view over Christchurch

But to get there was quite a feat- as X almost plunged to her death

Just our luck, as the fireworks ended the wind storm picked up and we were almost blown off the mountain (the guy in the middle is our friend Andy). Getting down proved to be a death defying journey- but we all made it down, safe and sound.

I hope that the pic of X hanging on to the cliff was staged. DOn't tell me if it wasn't

Additional good news re: Caitlin's burn... If she gets another one walking the other direction she would have an "X" forever....

Keep those cards and letters coming. I'll trade pics for Newman O's.

Love you guys

Nick- I love the plastic cart...it kind of reminds me of those red triangular shaped things we used to ride on the road. You know you sit on them and you could steer with handlebars. Random I know. Anyways, you look insanely tan...I don't know if it is from the sun or lack of showers you are getting, but either way I am a bit jealous. Miss you!
